First Blog Ever... Hello!!!!

So this is my first blog ever! First things first, the name "The Fond" for you non culinary minded readers. The fond is the little tid bits left in the bottom of a pan that us chefs deglaze with some sort of liquid and turn into a sauce.. Its the yummy goodness that my french chef and mentor Marcel called the gasoline of the kitchen. I had picked this name for my first restaurant but a restaurant in Edwardsville IL got to it first. I guess I'll have to live with it just gracing the title of my blog. Maybe I'll review that restaurant in the near future! Watch out I'm out for vengeance!
